Growpad keeps three classes of data: metric rows (24 months default), snapshots (90 days), and raw payloads (90 days). Customers can override any of these per workspace.
Where to set it
Workspace → Settings → Retention. Each input takes a number of days; leave blank to use the platform default. Allowed range: 7–1825 days.
Common patterns
- EU privacy posture: drop metric retention to 90 days. Trade-off: lose year-over-year trend charts.
- Power-user analytics: bump metric retention to 3 years (1095 days). Trade-off: higher storage cost.
- Healthcare client posture: drop raw payloads to 30 days, leaving metrics + snapshots untouched.
Retention sweeps run nightly. After shortening a window, rows older than the new cutoff are deleted on the next sweep — within ~24 hours.
